Websoft Solutions (Pty) Ltd ("Websoft", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect

• Enquiries: when you use our contact form, we collect your email address, the subject and your message.
• Chat assistant: if you use the chat on our website, we keep the conversation so we can reply and improve our answers.
• Client portal: if you have an account, we keep your name, email address and the information you share with us about your projects.
• Analytics (only with your consent): if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use the site, such as the pages you visit and your approximate location.
• Technical information: our servers record standard information such as your IP address and browser type to keep the website secure and working.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to your enquiry, provide and support our services, keep our website secure, and understand how the site is used so we can improve it. We do not sell your personal information, and we only send you marketing if you ask us to.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run our business, and only as much as they need:

• Amazon Web Services, which hosts our website and data;
• our SMS provider, which notifies us when a new enquiry arrives;
• Google, for analytics, if you have accepted analytics cookies.

Some of these providers store information outside South Africa, including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on providers that are bound by data protection obligations offering a level of protection comparable to POPIA.

Cookies

We only use analytics cookies if you choose "Accept" on the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this website, which will show the banner again.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and correspondence for as long as needed to respond and to maintain our business records, and client information for the duration of our relationship and any period required by law. After that, we delete or anonymise it.

How we protect it

We use encrypted connections, access controls so only authorised staff can see client information, and reputable hosting providers. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. To make a request, email tyler@websoftsolutions.co.za. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
